Ah, the solstice. That middling region with its promise. Hope standing still under cold winds and wool. Here, today, we have sun brilliant on recent snow. I had to scare a group of pigeons off the porch. Grandma's dislike of them having been genetically transferred, apparently. No real plans for the season.

Turkey and sidekicks. Still dipping into the squash. And a bottle of prosecco yet awaits. Toy time.

Attempting to remove the detritus of the last few decades- dead electronics, misfitting clothes, unused or abused toys, left-overs from the offsprings.

Continuing.

New iMac sitting in front of me. Gorgeous. So comparatively quicker than the G4 it replaces I'm still catching up. Took a while to migrate things, and some are left behind, as all things are left behind, sooner or later.

Took some vids of the new Cambridge Main Library building with the iPod Nano 5thG. They had a big ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Nice landscaping, too. The old building, in that great H.H. Richardson style, was totally re-furbished and looks wonderful. I was a bit wondering if it didn't feel too much like an airport terminal, though. Then again, most times I order stuff online and just go the library to pick up and return. Back a bit, I was reading somewhat regularly.

Way back, as it turns out.

And then, lo and behold, the idiot City did itself dirt and put Dells in as carrel computers. Fools. I guess there was some IT department head who wanted job security. iMacs would have looked way better, of course, and matched the decor. Money wasted- part of government.

Time to start. Always time to start. It's the middle and the end what get crowded in to a space. Space being time, and vice versa. Nothing else new.
